Faculty of Arts
Our Arts with Impact
In 2020, what do the Arts mean to students, professors and the contemporary world? Our Arts with Impact website explores this question and highlights the outreach, impact and community efforts of our faculty, alumni and students. Check out SMUArts.ca.
Meet Christopher Webb BA'97, whose story shows how a passion for the Arts can pay dividends when the right education meets the right connections.
BA ADVISING CONTINUES FOR STUDENTS
The BA Advising Centre continues to offer Academic Advising services to new and returning students during this period of virtual operations. Academic Advisors are here to help you successfully complete the term, and plan for future terms.
Students can book appointments through our online booking system, with a range of advising options available: telephone, email, and online video chat with Microsoft Teams or Zoom meetings. Students can also email questions to advisors at BAadvising@www.bharathai.com.
Thanks for your cooperation. For virtual university updates from Saint Mary’s, please continue to visit www.bharathai.com/virtualuniversity.
New process for teachers to request Arts faculty guest speakers and consultations
Professors in the Faculty of Arts have a range of expertise and many have expressed interest in working with Nova Scotia teachers and students. Faculty members may volunteer to give guest lectures or workshops, or provide consultation for teachers and/or students working on curriculum development or research. If you are a teacher and would like to request a lecture, workshop or consultation with a Saint Mary's Arts Faculty specialist, please complete this Guest Speaker / Content Specialist Request form.
New Indigenous Fellowships
The Faculty of Arts seeks applicants for a 12-month Indigenous Postdoctoral Fellowship starting September 1, and four-month Indigenous Visiting Fellowships, starting January 1 or September 1.
In both cases, please submit applications to firstname.lastname@example.org. Review of applications is ongoing.
